1911 T205 Gold Borders - Basic SET COMPLETION: 51.46%

2020
Submitted my raw T205 set—roughly 150 cards—to PSA at a local show in Columbus, OH. The average grade came back around PSA 4.2. COVID hits shortly after.
2021
Focused on filling gaps in the Basic Set and became increasingly engaged with the PSA Registry. Committed to completing the set.
2022
Reached a major milestone: just four cards away from completing the T205 Basic Set in PSA 4–6 grades. Began selectively pursuing higher-grade variations despite rising premiums.
2023
Refined the collection during the Chicago National, selling off all cards graded PSA 4.5 and below to improve overall quality and Registry GPA. A surprise Hindu find surfaces in NYC—an exciting and unexpected addition.
2024
A pivotal year. Sold several key cards at strong prices, which helped fund the down payment on a new home.
2025
Shifted to a more selective acquisition strategy. Added two Drum backs via trade, each bringing character and rarity to the collection. Mid-grade examples have become harder to find, and with focus tapering slightly, the chase has grown more nuanced. |
