New York Giants Schedule Postcards
8. New York Giants Schedule Postcards  (1932)
Despite having 22 players in it, this set is barely known apart from the Carl Hubbell variety printed on thinner paper. At some point in 1932, not long after the set was produced, it seems the Giants decided to drop all the others and just mass-produce the Hubbell card. Now Hubbell is easily found but the others almost never show up anywhere. I would love to acquire more of them! Jim Van Brunt wrote a great feature on the set in Old Cardboard magazine.

American League Publishing Co. (1908)
14. American League Publishing Co. (1908)
ACC#: PC770

This very difficult set contains mostly Cleveland Indians players but also Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner and several team cards.

I think the design is fascinatingly modern for its day - it looks like something that could have appeared in the 1950s or early 1960s.  The design is basically identical to another rare set, the Offerman Postcards of 1909, which feature players of Buffalo in the International League.

Note that the cards with the "Collister and Sayle" overprint contain a different back with a schedule, which arguably makes them an entirely different set, but I've opted to group them together since they're so hard to find.

One of the cards on this page is uncataloged, which suggests that there could still be new discoveries to make in this set.

Morgan "Red Belt" Stationery (1907)

ACC#: PC778
Morgan Stationery "Red Belts"

Beautiful set of 11 or 12 full-color postcards featuring action shots. Identifiable players include Miller Huggins (HOF), Hans Lobert, and Sam Leever.

"Opening of the Season 1907" is an extremely difficult card in the set (or maybe not part of the set at all but a separate one-off issue).
