I was lucky enough to meet this puppy at 2011 Premier and he sure is handsome with a cute personality! Good luck with him!

I really, really like this boy. I hope he's recovering well from his mishaps. He is truly one of the best K2 pups I've ever seen. Take good care of him!! :)

73	74 One day before injury May 2011	75 Minimally caudally displaced proximal Salter I tibial fracture (growth plate broken off the top of tibia of the right rear leg - surgery with one pin placed) May 13, 2011	76 Growth playes are on the end of bones - they look like a layer on top. When growth is supposed to stop the plates seal to the end of the bones. You can see the growth plates sitting on the top of the bones in this photos but you can also see one is set back from the other - it is offset (displaced)
77 The Xs mark the growth plates and the displacement.	78 The pin is placed lower because you don't want to damage the growth plates. It tightens up the area so that the growth plate is forced back into place. You can see now the Xs show no difference in the plates.	79 The pin alone - this did not affect the soundness of Doc's patella in any way. He passed his patella exam at one year with flying colors. I believe the patella is the small floating bone above the small floating bone that the pin is placed through.	80 The pin will mostly likely stay in his whole life unless is should cause problems later - then it will be removed. 8 months after the surgery and he has no indication that he was ever injured, his gait is smooth and he has no scarring from the incision.

121 DOB 01/08/11	122	123 Doc's official OFA /Hip X-ray - results pending. (03/08/13)	124 When doc displaced his growth plate we thought it was his hip at first and so did the vet. So we have hip x-rays of Doc at four months - the vet thinks they look realy good or excellent. I think he wasn't placed very well but the ball look nice and round and is set well in the socket. We will get him done at two years - it will be interesting to compare.
