ANSWER: GLORIOSA LILY - BJL: UNKNOWN MAKER 1920-1930 Sue Weaver Lotus Pin The lotus enamel & marcasite brooch is signed BJL Who is this? "Can't help with the mark, but the flower is a Gloriosa lily, look up Gloriosa Superba on google. Gorgeous brooch!" --Cat, 07/14/10 "I have a very similiar pin, however mine is unsigned. Seeing your pin, prompted me to do a little more research. I actually have three different pins, all purchased from a seller from Scotland. That was a starting point. All three are beautiful enamel, with marcasite. I just found this article online:
BJL Unknown maker 1920 - 1930, most often seen jewellery is the enamel and marcasite brooches, clip earrings & necklaces but they are quite rare and underrated. It appears that some of their items are unsigned and only if you find a signed piece can they be identified at present.
