I found this necklace last summer at an estate that had a lot of contemporary Indian nic-knack stuff. This pendant is sterling, though not marked as such, and hallmarked with what looks like a bears paw mark. Anyone seen anything like this before? It looks like there might be a letter "o" inside the paw.

"I believe it is made by Alde Qumyintewa of the Hopi Indian village of Shungopavi. He started marking silver in 1975. It is a very nice pendant and a bit different from what is normally seen." --Nancy Cox, 03/02/09
