ANSWER: UNSIGNED FLORENZA
Egyptian Revival Set -- is this Selro.  What do you all think?
Melissa Sands
"This looks more like an Art or Florenza-ish style set to me, either way it is great looking. Love the stones with the ridges." --Dan Day, 10/08/08
"I had that bracelet once and really loved it. I also have a number of Selro pieces. The bracelet is much lighter than Selro-made jewelry. I would love to know what company made it." --Cheryl Killmer, 10/08/08
"My 2 cents... no, it's not Selro. I'm sorry, I am sure that's not what you were wanting to hear." --Kathie Davis, 10/08/08
"Absolutely KILLER SET! No absolute on Designer, but I definitely would be looking hard at Selro, too~ (wiping drool from chin, sorry). I love sets like this, but that's sort of obvious, huh??" --Robin Miller, 10/08/08
"I believe that your set is unsigned "Florenza", i.e. made by Dan Kasoff Inc. Larry Kasoff (son of Dan) does not remember this particular design being produced by the company, but it has many trademark construction features such as: -Use of the plastic elements which are found in other signed and unsigned Florenza pieces; -Tiffany-style setting for the stones, i.e. with multiple faux prongs; -Textured backs compatible with those used by Kasoff; -Paperclip chain for the pendant necklace; -Different variations of this design found using other colors; and, -General look to the design typical for Dan Kasoff. We'll never likely know for sure whether or not this set (and there are also matching earrings) was made by Kasoff, but I think it's a pretty good bet that it was and I personally would have no quibble with it being identified as likely "unsigned Florenza"." --Mary Ann Doktor-Smith, 10/08/08
"I agree with the others who believe it's likely that your set is an unsigned Florenza. I see attributes like the textured backs, that particular chain, and the pearl settings. However, ART was a competitor of Florenza and they also have some of the same attributes. To be on the safe side I would include both designers in your description." --Jan Gaughan, 10/08/08
