ANSWER: NOT SELRO
I have a bracelet that looks like it could be Selro, but I'm not positive, even after viewing and re-viewing the Selro pages. I hope some experts out there can confirm.

"Not sure it's Selro although it is reminiscent of Selro/Selini jewelry. It looks like the faces are glass? Also noteworthy are red cabochons which look like they are made of buttons. DeLizza and Elster used the same style of buttons in white and gold "aventurine" or maybe they called it "gold fluss" in some of their creations. Not saying the bracelet is D and E, just remarking on the similarity of the buttons." --Cheryl Killmer, 02/21/09
"I too noticed the backs of the red stones, and they are indeed buttons! I thought they just had weird backs, but when turned sideways, you can see the buttonhole. I checked the faces, and they are glass." --Christia, 02/21/09
"The faces look a bit off, is the metal heavy or light? It's not your typical Selro, could be Pam or someone like that. Let 's see what Kathie has to say" --Sheri Weiss, 02/21/09
"I don't think your "Selro" set is actually Selro. I am finding more and more info via sellers on the net that these glass faces were produced in Bohemia, part of the Czech Republic, some 50 odd years ago. A lot of sellers and collectors have purchased these faces and put them into what were once Selro pieces in order to make a sale. That's what it looks like to me, anyway. I'm not accusing anyone because it can also be that the original owner wore the pieces a lot, the faces were damaged and then replaced whenever they ran across the glass face pieces. I may be totally off the wall with this but since I have been in contact with a seller from Denmark who actually found an old box of these faces dating from that time frame and is using them to create jewelry for eBay right now. This is what it looks like may have happened with your bracelet as well. One will probably never know the exact origin of yours but I would just respectfully have to say no as far as it being an authentic Selro piece. Plus, that is not a face I have ever seen on any other Selro designs but it is showing up on eBay from time to time, also in the black like yours." --Kathie Davis, 02/21/09
"No, Selro never used buttons in their pieces. Also, the setting and metal work do resemble Selro but it's also different. It appears to be heavier & bulkier (is that a word? LOL) than the usual face pieces' construction, and well, kinda crude if you know what I mean?" --Kathie Davis, 02/22/09
