Does anyone have any knowledge of Men's Jewelry? Over the weekend I picked up a few nice pieces. W are they.. Tie Clips? They are Brass and marked Anson with a Pat Pend. One Male friend said he thought they were some kind of Clip to tack down a bowtie to a shirt collar? I appreciate any info, thoughts or opinions.

"the Anson goldtone thingies are collar bars (ie to keep a non-button down collar looking neat). Since they say patent pending, you might be able to search the USPTO site to find out when this design was filed and then actually issued, and that might help you pin down date.
