ANSWER: UNSIGNED BEAUTY: POSSIBLE BOUCHER, MAZER, CINER

Ann Torseth
Striking Set

This parure has a patent number on the earring backs that states "Pat. 156452".  Does anyone know who is the manufacturer of this striking set?
"This set looks like Boucher to me." --Erin Buffaline, 08/24/10
"Boucher was pretty good about marking stuff, at least part of the set would be marked if it were his, I'd think. And the back texture is not the typical Boucher dimpled look, tho I do have one Boucher pin with this striated texture. The set does have the look of 60s Boucher, but could be most anybody. The patent number sounds familiar, I'm pretty sure that's a utility patent number for the ear clip finding." --Linda Jo, 08/24/10
"Regarding the parure, the patent number is for the clip mechanism on the earrings and used by lots of companies, so it's no help. I have to say your beautiful set reminds me of one I have by Mazer and the Mazer mark is really hard to see. However, in the absence of a mark, I would hesitate to attribute it." --Dianne Lavenburg, 08/24/10
"The parure looks a bit like some Ciner things. Did Ciner always mark?" --Norma Adams, 08/24/10
