ANSWER: BRIDAL BELLS AND DOGWOOD
I recently purchased this lovely crown Trifari lemon yellow glass flower pin that we loosely term as "poured glass" just because of the setting. We know it is not true poured glass. It has  detachable dangles. Does anyone know if there is a special name for this style of pin? Anyone have an Ad? I bet there are a lot of missing dangles out there on this one.

"Jan, I believe they are called "bridal bells" and are in an ad. Look in RubyLane for white Trifari earrings and you will see the reference." --Rebecca Fransway, 01/03/09
"Thank you so much, Rebecca! I went searching for "Bridal Bells" on RL and found the item that refers to a Vogue Ad. I wonder if the "Bridal Bells" were named so for those done only in white?" --Jan Gaughan, 01/03/09
"Hi Jan..check this Ad out..it may help you some...Best Judi http://www.house-of-francheska.co.uk/trifariads4.htm" --Judi Bollan, 01/03/09
"Thank you, Judi ... that's it! My pin minus the dangles is in the 1953 ad that they call "dogwood". I have/had this leaf/petal stone in white and other colors but this is the first time I've seen these detachable dangles on the brooch. It really is quite unique. Maybe there is another ad that features them - hope I can find one!" --Jan Gaughan, 01/03/09
"that looks like a marriage to me. I am familiar with the brooch which seems to belong to the 'dogwood' series as advertised in 1951 and is a brooch/pendant. The dangly bits look as though they are part of the drop from the necklace." --Mary in England, 01/03/09
"This design is called DOGWOOD and it is from 1951." --Pat Seal, 01/03/09
"I have both ads for this set -- the one that calls it Dogwood and the one in which it is called Bridal Bells. Both of the sets are shown in white because that makes sense for the names. I wonder if the set in yellow had another name -- Buttercup perhaps. It also came in blue, green and pink. The Bridal Bell ad is from 1950. I suspect that this design was a big seller for Trifari because even though they are glass, there are so many around. I'm not sure what name was on the hang tag since I've never seen one for this series, but Trifari probably marketed it in many ways and advertising is not always the best indicator of series names. The leaves are detachable and I have seen them on both the brooch and the necklace before. Jan, if yours is original to the piece, there should be a "place" to hang it that wouldn't be needed on the brooch alone. It's been too long since I've had this set to remember how it worked." --Georjean West, 01/03/09
