"I've heard say that spoon pins at one time were given to brides in their chosen silver pattern. 50s, 60s, maybe? But there's gotta be someone on this board who know more about them than I !" --Linda Jo Mitchell, 02/22/09
"when I married in 1952, I picked out my sterling silver flatware pattern----Strasburg by Gorham--and the local jewelry store presented me with a lovely little brooch in my pattern. It was a salt spoon with a pin attached. I also received a tiny Lane cedar chest from the furniture store. There might have been other gifts that I don't remember right now. I don't know how many years that they did this." --Pat Seal, 02/23/09
"I have quite a few spoons...I'll try to take some pics" --Linda, 08/07/10
