ANSWER: VERIFIED D&E

Merry Becker
Necklace back
"I would say German or Austrian maybe on the necklace because of the stones, which I believe are of German or Austrian origin glass, maybe still being made. I think it's supposed to look Spanish." --Ronda, 08/06/10
"I know this might sound strange but the cabs in the first necklace look like something that Celebrity used. I have a few pairs of earrings and a bracelet that used the same types of cabs and they are all marked Celebrity. It’s probably a shot in the dark but I just thought I would mention it. Perhaps this is a hand made piece made from several types of components???" --Erin Buffaline, 08/06/10
"Those cabs were used by several companies, including D&E. Mr DeLizza called them Moroccan something or other, it's in Ann Pitman's book on Juliana. They're also shown in one of Carroll's books, I think it's the 3rd one, Collecting Costume Jewelry 303, and she calls them faux mosaic cabs." --Linda Jo, 08/06/10
"I would say Czech - those little brass curlicues in the shape of almost a heart are Bohemian. Style is Victorian to my mind and pre 1918 so therefore Bohemian imho. There is very little difference between German and Czech, the history is complex." --Judy, 12/10/10
