ANSWER: MADE BY RICARDO SALAS IN 80S.
Hope we have some Mex sterling experts here. I have this set and I believe this is an original of hers (Matilde Poulat). Anyone know anything about this mark or set?

"Gorgeous set ! I'm just struck by one thing: the engraved name and .925 seem to have been done with an electric engraver. Is that typical in hand-made Mexican jewelry of the period?" --Tracy Green, 09/19/08
"That was my question too, if you look on this page, you'll see the etched mark--- http://www.modernsilver.com/mysterymarks2.htm But other than this I've never seen anything like it---" --Melissa Sands, 09/19/08
"A Ruby Laner today told me that these are from the 1980's made by her nephew. I don't know how she does it but every single time I list a piece of Mexican Sterling she emails me within moments with all of the relevant information! I always forget about her until I actually list something but she can tell you what area of Mexico, who made it and practically what date it was produced, here is what she told me this morning just for future reference should anyone get a Matilde piece--- "This is a magnificent piece. However, this was not made by Matilde Poulat. It is by her nephew, Richardo Salas. The number registration is the giveaway, since that is the mark Salas used. The design is by Poulat, thus Salas included the MATL signature. But the MS-12 indicates that Salas actually made this piece. And it was made after 1980. Poulat died in 1960." --Melissa Sands, 09/19/08
