ANSWER: POSSIBLE ARTS & CRAFTS BROOCH

An arts and crafts brooch and bracelet that i have not been able to find any information on the marks.

Arlene Hjulian
"not much I can share. The brooch looks like late A&C. The mark I couldn’t find anything on…..the bracelet to me doesn’t say A&C." --Roger Erickson, 05/24/09
"had to go look up the Info as I just don't not retain info like I use to, I could not find your Mark in the Book "Answers to Questions about Old Jewelry" 1840-1950 by Jeanenne Bell..but it mentions another Book "Chicago Metal-Smiths" by Sharon Darling, published by the Chicago Historical Society in 1977 where many of the Designers and Manufacturers of The American Arts & Crafts movements are listed along with photographs of the makers mark. Unfortunately I do not have this Book, but you may be able to find it in a Library. Also there is mentioned on page 254 of same book it states during the 1920-30's there was a Popular revival of Egyptian (King Tut) influence which added to the confusion at the time as to what Art Deco was. There was a lot of Scarab Jewelry made during this time." --Amy Baker, 05/24/09
"I agree with Roger, the brooch looks Arts and Crafts, but the bracelet does not. The bracelet looks newer to me." --Linda Jo Mitchell, 05/24/09
