ANSWER: Stones with surface coating of Vitrail or Vitrail light. I thought someone else asked about these stones, but didn't see it in the rfi album. Would you call these bi-color art glass or is there a correct term for them? Lilly Vittetow ""Art glass" is a term usually reserved for fancy lampworked glass or otherwise made glass, indicating individually made pieces of glass or beads/stones. The large stones have a color produced by surface coating, in this case probably Vitrail or Vitrail light. Thus, both the terms "art glass" and "bi-color" are incorrect." --Deb Ahrendt, 08/10/10 | |
