Dinah Taylor and Harry
(Click on Picture to read entire Intro)

My name is Dinah and I live in NY State between Buffalo and Rochester.  I have a small farm and barn for my 12 yr. old Canadian/TBX Harry, who I train, and compete in Dressage.  I have a NC Ditch Dog named Tutti who is 4, who loves to wear my jewels.

I am a metalsmith and have a studio where I create wearable art using Silver, Copper, Brass and unusual gems and beads, currently working on Anitclast methods for earrings, and cuffs.  I have been an equine management specialist for 25 years, which means I work for people who need assistance in nutrition and training for their horses, organization in their barns, and also design and make custom turnout clothes and special dress sheets for horses, along with washing and repairing horse blankets for about 36 clients.  I am a proofreader and editor for a national educational organization for the National PASS Units and Tests for migrant workers throughout the US.

I have two sons, Shane L. Gould, 39,  in Hilton Head, SC who owns Fuel Clothing-extreme sports wear, and Sean T. Gould, 46, who owns Bird's Nest Studio-All Analog recording, in N. Miami, FL and produces and records bands including his own.

I love vintage jewelry, and have been an active antiques and collectibles dealer since 1970.  I started selling on Ebay in 1998, and on Ruby Lane in 1999, until 2004 when I opened my own website:  www.capriciouscrowns.com .  I also have a shop on Ruby Plaza:  http://www.rubyplaza.com/shops/capriciouscrowns998 , opened last April, where I have my vintage cj, plus my own designs.  I love to work with people, and am willing to always give discounts on items.

As you can imagine, it's difficult to fit 67 years of life into a short bio.  I've always lived on a farm, had horses, was an independent owner-operator for 12 years all over the US, mostly Hunt's Point and Fulton Fish and Toronto markets, moving perishable foods and farm products.  I've had a catering business, a small restaurant in SC, was a professional photographer and developed my own work for shows, made downhill suits for skiers, taught skiing, language arts at elementary schools, and home economics to 7th and 8th grade boys and girls for 4 years in Hilton Head.  I've had lots of jobs and careers, but still come back to my horses, students, jewelry and farm life.

My goal this year is to compete Harry at Second Level, enter some small jumping events, and completely clear my house of all things unnecessary.  When I'm focused, I can do anything I set my mind to. This is what I collect:
