Heart Attack 2006
This is my heart Attack Gallery. Not much to say other than late in the evening on the 21st of December 2006, my chest and teeth hurt.

Thinking the worst but not wanting to over-react, we (spouse and I) called my brother-in-law Jim, head of a regional ambulance company, and told him what I felt.

He said go to the hospital. Better safe than sorry.

I was bummed to be admitted and poked and prodded in the ER. Yes, I had had a heart attack.

These are the photos beginning the next morning in the Intensive Care Unit. I was very disappointed that I forgot to bring a camera when I went to the ER the night before.

Anyway, the camera was my wife’s crappy Casio 7mb job and it had little if any control that could be assigned to the user. I have a Canon 20D digital SLR but I am sure that the hospital would have shut me down had I use that. The Casio looked like an amateur snapper. I did the best I could. Enjoy the images... Or at least get a laugh!

I would like to say that the doctors and especially the nurses, male and female, were smiling and nice and kind and made me feel good. The Hospital of Central Connecticut was top notch.

Here, the morning after my ER experience where they almost killed me (no joke), the very cute and professional ER nurse checks my pulse. She was a little nervous when I took her photo but because it was a little crappy camera, she didn't object to strongly.

Here is one of the multiple IV's I had. When I was in the ER, I had 3 at one time due to my blood pressure dropping to 40/20 (120/80 is normal).

This rather large jugg of urine was only possible after the ICU nurse exxplained to me how I could pee while laying on my back or side. Wow... This was all just one pee! It was defying gravity! It worked and she didn't have to touch my dealy.

Here is the patch where they plugged the incision from the angiogram. My 'parts' are pixelated... Hehehehehe. This was an amazing thing they did. The doctors were highly surprised when the angiogram showed no blockages... I was highly pleased!

I was being pulled from the ICU to the heart ward and the orderly was amused when I began taking photos from my high perfromance sports bed. I really enjoyed being a 'weird patient'...

This is me and my buddy Joe who is a top-notch surgeon at a different hospital. He's a crazed dude and the visit made me feel nice.

Here, prior to my eminent departure, Ivana begins to take of the last of the IV's. The tape was all over and my arms were very hairy. I dreaded this moment for days.

Can you image the pain as this was pulled off... remember, this was not a quick rip off, it was a slow removal due to the IV needle being in my arm still. If you just ripped it off, it would have made the needle do bad and evil things...
