WE'RE OFF TO PARIS, BARCELONA & LONDON
Come May it will be time to pack our bags, waive goodbye to Max cat and head to the furthest gate at the airport. The Travelin' Tanenbaums will be ringing in Spring 2007 by 'living in Paris' the City of Lights for One and One-Half FUN FILLED MONTHS!

Unlike our past Paris studio apt. rentals, this time we rented a huge 1,016sq.ft.TWO BEDROOM apartment commencing May 1st. It has an excellent location at the dead center of the city, only 3 Metro stops from the Seine!  Plus cool amenities: Like TWO LIVING ROOMS, French Doors, balconies,  antique furniture and art, and helpful washer/dryer/dishwasher/ microwave/entertainment center/ hi-speed internet etc. Why so cool looking? We just learned this is an Owner's apartment. The owners live in the apartment from September through April when they leave for southern France. The apartment is just blocks from rue Montorgueil, the oldest street market in Paris.
Re:COST-Happy to report our 'cheapskate' skills are better than ever. Whereas an old favorite 2-Star Paris hotel charges $125/day for a basic, no frills double room we snagged this apartment for $77/day!
LOCATION: Blvd Bonne Nouvelle, 2nd Arrondissement, Metro in front of Bldg.

Next stop BARCELONA: As usual ALL FREE FLIGHTS! From Paris we head to Barcelona for 2 1/2 WEEKS. Nailed down a One Bedroom Apt. (14th Century building) in the city's coolest medievil Gotico neighborhood. It includes hard to find amenities like elevator, AIR CONDITIONING, balcony, large 500sq.ft., full kitchen etc. The twin beds conveniently configue to a Queen Bed. Shorter apt. rentals are MORE costly....but still snagged this one for $97/day in the best of all locations.

Final stop: Eight days of sightseeing and SHOWTIME IN LONDON! Met the London Cheapskate challange. Found the rarest of rare....a highly rated, dead center of London located, B&B with room service breakfast & kitchenette for $100!
