The Rainbow Bridge

*
Dedicated to our loved ones who are waiting for us there,
we miss you very much and think of you everyday.

Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge......

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

AKC CH Wild Oak's Bonnie Blue Belle, CD, HC

aka, "Bella What a Dog Worthington"

"Bella," my shadow, protector, ranch hand, companion, guardian angel, the love of my life.

There wasn't a hair on this girl that she hadn't given me in total devotion.

My Bella passed over the Bridge, October 12, 2000 at the age of 15, my heart and soul went with her.

They'll never be another.

This is Cookie, she came from Motherlode Kennels in Auburn, California and was bred by Tamara Salter.

Cookie perished in our house fire on January 1, 2007. We miss her every minute of every day, she was the most delightful little girl and we had so much fun with her. She was a comedien and kept us laughing with her funny expressions and crazy antics.

We love you Cookie and miss you very much, hope you're having fun at the Rainbow Bridge, we'll see you there someday.

Cookie, 4 weeks old

There's nothing that we exposed her to that she worried about. She took every new experience in stride and feared nothing. When it came to taking naps, she was the best puppy to sleep with, she folded into me and was warm, warm.

Michael, Mike, Mikey, Miko, Meeko, he was my computer buddy. He'd sit on the top of my desk and after he had finished napping he'd kinda melt down the monitor and onto my lap, where he'd melt into me and purr, purr, purr.

His coat felt like a Chinchillas and there was a tinge of color in it that was unique.

Snowy Cupido, Snow-no-no, Snowey-noey-noey, Snow-no, beauty boy, the softest, plushest, most dense fur you can imagine. His special way to answer me was to open his mouth and make a silent meow. Biscuits made on me, cuddle with me, my lover boy.

Snow, the connoisseur of "draping." His favorite position anywhere on anything. I had some fabulous pics of him doing this but unfortunately they were lost in our house fire.

The epitomy of relaxation, he'd hit the rocking recliner at top speed and melt onto it so he didn't fall off. Then he'd stretch out and drape for hours.

Snowy my beauty boy, he so loved everyone in the family. He loved to cuddle with all his kitty family and doggie family too. He was absolutely fabulous when there were puppies in the family. He would let them crawl all over him and was so patient.

My gentle soul.

This baby of mine defies description. Her name is "Biscuit" and she truly was my baby as I raised her on a bottle from the time she was 1 week old.

At night she'd sleep with me and press her nose into mine, make biscuits and purr, purr, purr. Tiny little body, warm vibration, very comforting, I was indeed her Mom.

Biscuit and Tiggerio, they were rescued from the same place at the same time, probably 6 weeks apart. They were constant companions.

Tiggerio has left us too, he was 5 years old.

On the left is Circe, the matriarch of our family. I adopted her from the shelter in 1989, she was approximately 1 1/2 years old.

She was the ultimate sweetheart and died in her sleep at 20 years old, February 2007.

Circe Sue Sue, I miss you....

Jasper James, tolerating the antics of Tiggerio who absolutely had to give everyone equal cuddle time, much to their distain.

Jasper died February 1, 2005, at the age of 17 in front of his beloved fireplace with Circe at his side.

Tiggerio is gone now as well.

Rudy, my Sphynx cat, I'd always wanted a Sphynx and when I finally got Rudy he exceeded my wildest expectations of what this breed was all about. Sweeter than sweet, intelligent, athletic, and a constant companion, with me every minute of the day.

To touch a Sphynx is like touching warm suede, an unbelievable feeling, add to that their huge purr and it's a warm, soft vibrating heating pad.

Bye Tiggerio, I miss you so much.

The day I brought him home,
how did I know he would be the

loving.

June 28, 2008

Right after this pic, on July 4th weekend, Leroy was stung repeatedly inside his mouth by yellow-jackets.

Not knowing that he had multiple stings I treated him with benadryl but he started getting really sick.

I layed with him in my arms all afternoon as he continually screamed his head off.

We went to the Emergency vet where he was treated with steroids and antihistamines until well after midnight. We brought him home that night and took him back the next day for more treatment. He was bruised with vascularitis from his collar bone to his flanks, unbelievable.

I have never seen an animal suffer so. I held him for 5 days, it took a week for him to start improving, 2 weeks to become somewhat normal. He was the most pathetic little baby I have ever seen, breaking my heart.

The last pic I took of Leroy, I could
kick myself. I kept saying,
"My God he's getting gorgeous, got
to take some pics."

He was becoming the most elegant,
stunning, regal boy. Beautiful top line,
gorgeous angles, long neck,
intense stare, great ears,
superb head, focused, balanced, smart.

We loved this dog and miss him everyday.

He went with the pack to hunt,
before I could call them back they
were at the road. I saw it
unfolding and started calling,
there was nothing I could do.
He went one foot onto the asphalt
and was smashed. Porsche was with
him and ran to tell me.

New wire, new fence charger,
new rules, too late for my baby.

I'm sorry Leroy I didn't protect you, sorry Roxanne I didn't protect him.
