I was a Spec 4 and worked in the Hawk maintenance shop as the TRAMMS clerk and just before I left as the Mail clerk. I don't remember a lot of names but the B.C. was a Captain Mellon(?) there also was a David Royce (Ohio), Stevie (The Star) Stern, Danny Windrom(Georgia). I just received some more names from Randy. There was LT Allen and LT. Sprague, Sgt Mashburn, Sgt Dunlap, Eddie Cain, John Forrest, Bill Wagner, Anthony Smith and Steve Kennedy.

Anyone ever hear of Cricket Ops? We were in Darmstadt, 10th group HHB tactical operations center from 1972-74. I can't remember all the tac names, but caraway, and casson come to mind. Pretty hairy when the Cypress incident took place.   kilo-mike

Boy, finding these sites on Wildflecken, "The Rock" brings back memories. I was in 2d Armored Division, 498th MP Det. We came over from FT Hood, PDY, as part of Reforger Brigade 75. I worked in Wildflecken for three years, and loved every minute of it. Thanks for providing the memories to an old MP.

I was a TCA in D/3/59 ADA.I was there from 75 to 78.My first BC was Captain Kimel,he was a good C.O.I saw Captain Mellon's name on your blog, man he could teach Volume 5 the rules of engagement very well.Delta Battery was located in Babenhausen, most of the time it was a froze over mudhole. My last C.O.,was Captain Alley and my best Platoon Leader was Lt.Thomas.I know that the Kaserne was sold back to the Germans in 2007 and the old Hawk site was converted to a Patriot site and after that the site was used for training for troops headed for Iran.Anyway, her's to old friends,Grattage,Gilliam,Edwards,Wilson,Williams,Jenot,Vandevender,Radar Radford and all the rest.

This is the very steep road in front of our barracks. Across the road from the Yield sign there was another very steep hill with stairs going down to the post theater. Lots of fun in winter. Edit
