OLD IMAGE FILE DETERIORATION
| Old image files from earlier external drives are now being copied into a much bigger usb external drive. In this process I have noticed some pictures that can be opened and viewed, but for some reason they show discoloration, split image like and other tonal and exposure changes that I cannot explain. I have not checked the raw files yet, but at the moment I have noticed this change and problem in several *.jpg files and of course, would like to know what caused the problem and how to fix it if possible. They are not important pictures, but still, I would really like to know what causes this phenomenon. |
