This guy is 5.65 feet tall... well, for the first time since he got the vmx17 he is happy, very happy because he can now put both his feet firmly on the ground.
THIS GUY IS ME AND AFTER SPENDING THE WHOLE WEEKEND CLOSED IN THE GARAGE WITH MY VMX17 I HAVE INSTALLED UFO's DRAG LINK AND A CATLESS CAT BOX.
BOTH MODS HAVE THEIR GOOD AND NOT SO GOOD THINGS. THE BIKE HAS LOST A LOT OF GROUND CLEARANCE; ACTUALLY THE CATCAN HITS THE RAMP ON THE BIKE LIFTING TABLE.
THE CATLESS CATBOX WORKS FINE, DON'T NOTICE MUCH HIGHER SOUND BECAUSE I HAVE LEFT AN OPERATIONAL EXUP AND NOW HAVE TO SPEND ON A FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO MAKE IT GO.... AS I OPEN THE THROTTLE, AROUND 4-5 k THE ENGINE ROARS INTO LIFE WHEN THE EXUP OPENS.
WE ARE GETTING THERE, SLOWLY BUT SURELY.

REAR VIEW SAME THING; LEGS HAVE TO BE SPREAD OPEN DUE TO THE SEAT AND BIKE WIDTH, BUT STILL AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE, NO MORE TIPTOEING FOR ME; IT FEELS SO MUCH SAFER....
MUST TRY THE BIKE TOMORROW AND READJUST THE REAR SUSPENSION STIFFER TO START WITH. THE BIKE ON ITS SIDESTAND "STANDS" MORE VERTICAL THAN BEFORE, BUT THERE IS NO NEED TO SHORTEN THE STAND.

ADDING TEFLON TO SOME OLD BIG ROUND HEAD SCREWS WORKS GREAT. I PUT TWO FOR THE SAME PRICE... I ALSO ADDED AN EXTRA ONE BY THE SOLENOID VALVE JUST TO MAKE SURE NONE OF THAT "NASTY" AIR FULL OF O2 GETS INTO MY PIPES...

ONE SIMPLE QUESTION AROSE WHEN I FOUND THE AMOUNT OF AIR THIS AI SYSTEM ALLOWS TO GET INTO THE EXHAUST PIPES;
HOW ON EARTH CAN THE OEM O2 SENSOR WORK (NEVER MIND THE AUTOTUNE), WHEN SO MUCH FRESH AIR IS BEING SUCKED INTO ALL EXHAUST PIPES?

WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING THESE TWO GUYS REALLY SUCK!
I MEAN AIR FROM THE FILTER'S SECONDARY AIR (FILTERED AIR). ANYONE TRYING TO MAKE THE PCV AUTOTUNE WORK WITH THIS SYSTEM OPERATIONAL MIGHT AS WELL FORGET ABOUT THE WHOLE DEAL; THESE HOSES, EVEN IDLING ARE CONSTANTLY SUCKING AIR, SO INSTALLING A WIDE RANGE O2 SENSOR IS POINTLESS.

I HAVE ALSO CHANGED THE ANGLE OF THE LICENCE PLATE SUPPORT... THE WHEEL IS GETTING TOO NASTILY CLOSE TO THE PLATE....
HERE IN SPAIN THE PLATE MUST HANG VERTICAL..HA, HA WHAT A JOKE!
