COMPARISON OF TYPES
1st Picture donated by April Woolner in Michigan showing the differences in Rat Terriers, Type B and Teddy Roosevelt Terriers.
I have added a few more pictures to show the differences. Now all I have to do is get a picture of different types side by side.

I know this is not the best picture, but perhaps it will help some see the difference in Terriers. Rider is heavy boned and a few pounds heavier than Casino. Both of these boys are Teddy Roosevelt Terriers. Casino is moderate boned. And then Tucker is your typical Rat Terrier with the finer legs, and slender build and head. Hope this helps someone. Now if Tucker had shorter legs and a longer back, he would be a type B Rat Terrier.

For anyone that would like to see a comparison of the two rat terrier body types (A & B)...
The dog on the far left is "amish" bred and is clearly a cross of the two types. She has the head of a type B, but the small muzzle
of a type A. She also has the muscular body of a type B (teddy), but
has the leaner, longer legs of the type A.
The dog in the middle is a type A. She has a squared chest, lean body, with the lean long legs. Her head is a fine wedge shape with a moderate stop and it's proportionate to her body.
Finally, the dog on the right is a teddy. He has a muscular body, with clearly visible prosternum thats "well filled
in" on each side, and short legs with more bone substance to them. His chest extends in an oval shape well in front of his forelegs. His
head is broad, slightly domed, wedge-shaped, and proportionate to
the size of his body. He also has a moderate stop.
Now look at the feet of both the type A leg and the teddy. There is a clear a...

WEEBITS KODY OF OZ
Kody is a blend of a Rat Terrier and a Type B. He does not have the proper bone, finer like a Rat Terrier, but he does have his sires Head (wide backskull) and longer body with a nice chest.
To me this is still a Type B and should not be confused with a Teddy Roosevelt Terrier, which many are. Now you can use these "Type B's" to get a Teddy Roosevelt Terrier with a good breeding program. Kody has sired Teddy Roosevelt Terriers with the correct proportions.

Tucker is your typical Toy Rat Terrier. Solid for a type A, but you can obviously see the differences between the 3 types.
