Thanks for your listing. It certainly was a visual feast and took me back to many childhood memories. Keep up the good work. - Carol Faulkner, Tue, 22 Sep 2009 4:19PM
What an amazing collection!!! You certainly have an eye for beauty. I have had a few yards of fabric that I have been saving for my dream cabin/cottage in the woods here in Canada. I never knew what it was until I was able to identify it as Barkwood and the design is Grandma Moses' Early Springtime on the Farm. Thanks for helping me figure that out. Keep up the great work. - susan morrier, Mon, 31 Aug 2009 3:05PM
Very nice to have a refrence point to look at when trying to identify various patterns of barkcloth. I have recently been given cases of barkcloth and other vintage fabrics from my mother. I do not sew or quilt and am not sure what to do with it all. If you or any of your guests are interested, I may be contacted at allig1227@yahoo.com Thanks again, allison - allison George, Wed, 5 Aug 2009 10:40AM
Love looking at the styles you have categorized! Barkcloth is wonderful. My pattern is slide #109. I always look for it but rarely find it. Please advise if you have any. An old pair of that style barkcloth draperies hung in a vintage home we purchased. I upholstered a wing chair with them and then painted a mural 360 degrees around the living room picking up certain images from the barkcloth in my paintings. I need more for pillows, etc. If you or any of your readers find this pattern, please contact me! Thank you for having this. Not only is it eye candy, I plan to reupholster my faded furniture with the vintage look you have. It's so good to see fabrics like this. You're in my favorites list for future reference. Rosalie - Rosalie MacFarlane, Mon, 2 Mar 2009 7:16PM
Wow, you have just KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF !!!!!!!!! Thanks for the amazing visual feast ! - Martha Somerville, Tue, 27 Jan 2009 4:40PM
I love anything mid-century! These fabrics are so much fun to look at as well as to look for--must have some of them! I have my mother's 1949 furniture, Woodrose pattern china bought 1949 in Japan, and 1950's California pottery pieces. I'm using barkcloths to re-do her house---oh, I also have a 1958 Pfaff sewing machine that will probably last another 50 years! (I was born 1957). - Nancy Ashley, Thu, 8 Jan 2009 9:49PM
