Thanks - can't wait to see the photos to help us make our blanket tonight!

Cynthia LetteriFri, 13 Nov 2009 2:17PM

I appreciate the tip on the irregular block from the corners to accommodate the stretchiness!  After knitting a few blankies, I may switch for awhile to this method . . . much faster!

Marilyn Thu, 12 Nov 2009 5:39PM

Thanks, this was very helpful. Your pictures helped a lot. Cute cats and kid. Love the pattern on the fleece!

Thanks for the great demonstration - this was exactly what I was looking for.  I love the cat anecdotes. My own cat, Logan, got spontaneously renamed "Quilton" during one of our quilting forays.

Just looking for directions

Savanna GlassSun, 29 Mar 2009 5:51PM

Great directions even for an absolute novice.  I found it worked best with really sharp scissors.  Thanks for doing this, luv your kittys!

sue clark | www.oceannet.usThu, 26 Feb 2009 1:51PM

Just wanted to thank you for posting this and the instructions. I found it easier using a rotary blade and fringe template, mostly b/c it hurt my hands to cut with scissors (arthritis).

NicciThu, 19 Feb 2009 10:14AM

Loved the pictures and the cat and child are adorable.

Theresa M PalusoFri, 12 Dec 2008 3:17AM

Liked the suggestion for cutting selvage edge.  This was a problem for me.

KimTue, 9 Dec 2008 5:20AM

I'm on my sixth blanket and would like to let people know that I tie a regular square knot instead, it makes the fringe look a little fuller.  Not only that but you can make your blanket any size you want.   I also use a ruler and white chalk to measure my fringe cuts instead of a tape measure.

B. A. VoinaroskiFri, 5 Dec 2008 6:31PM

Thanks!  I've located lots of single piece polar fleece patterns, but you're the only 2-piece pattern I could locate...you've saved Christmas!  :o) B.A.

Peggy | www.craftgate.comMon, 5 Nov 2007 10:22AM

This one sounds simple enough for even children to do. You might want to add it to a new crafty website for both childrens projects as well as for us adults..... That's at www.craftgate.com

SharonMon, 5 Nov 2007 9:30AM

Thanks for the instructions.
I'm going to be working with the Linus Project making blankets for kids and teens that are having Chemo. They are called hug blankets.  We dontate these to a Cancer Center or if we are made away of a child or teen we will donate right to them.  We also take Quilted Blankets too.

Joan FinchFri, 2 Nov 2007 6:35AM

TammyTue, 17 May 2005 10:52AM

I have wanted to make one of these blankets but have had 2 opinions on cutting the corner or not cutting the corner.  Thanks for clarifying.  By the way I am sure my cats will assist in the making of the blanket as yours have.  ;-)
