I totally love this cage. Bought a Guinea Pig last September and he has out grown the store bought cage that I bought him. I did an internet search hoping to find a bigger cage to buy and happened upon this site. It has helped me so much and I am in the process of rounding up all the stuff to make Chewie:) his C&C cage. He's gonna love it. Thank you so much from the both of us:).

I made my piggies a "hay tower" using 2 grids. Bend each grid in the middle to a 90 degree angle, then attach the sides of each together using 4 to 6 zip-ties, forming a "square". It makes a lovely, sturdy, free-standing "hay tower" that the pigs love! It's moveable by you, and you can put it in the middle of the c&c cage to keep hay from the edges- and your floor! The cavies absolutely love the 360 degrees of plentiful hay!

Thisi s an awesome site, but you should finish the other categories because if they are as good as the others, this will be one great site!

Excellent site.  We built one cage from these ideas and are going to build an expansion for our 3 adorable long-haired girls, Caramel, Sugar, and Spice

Ann, go to cavycages.com... super duper cages!!!  instructions are easy to follow. I built mine all by myself with an exacto knife and some zipties as the only tools :)

Teresa, what did you mean string bags? It sounds like a good idea so please verify on how you make them! ^_^

I hve four guinea pigs and I made a bucket of hay for them and they love it.

i dont like to use the hay racks because pigs catch their teeth in the bars, i have 37 pigs and took away their hay racks. string bags work just aswell.

I have fifteen guinea pigs.  I'm fostering six pregnant guinea pigs from the humane society.  If you want to get a guinea pig, check out your local shelter.

I like your ideas for the cage but i was wondering what is it that you are useing to secure the hay rack on the top and bottom of the cage on the picture in the middle?
