Hi bobye, thank you for your great album of fakes !
I just found a shop that looks like YOU are selling all YOUR fake jewellry - only THEY claim that their brooches are the "originals".
If it wasn't for your album, I would have bought a piece !!!!
So your information is so helpful, thank you so much!
Kirsten from Germany

What an education! If it were A BOOK Id buy it! Imagine, repro next to genuine front, side back, what an education that would be! Thanks Bobye!

Your information is so helpful, thank you so much!  I have begun to actively report sellers with fakes to eBay, and eBay does not seem to care...still!  I think of these pieces as "art", so fakes are truly offensive!

Bobye- Thanks! Stellar collection and information.

Thank you very much for this helpful overview. Only thing I'd like to mention is, that when I buy a piece of jewelry I do not get the chance to see a second one next to it, which would enable me to examine both pieces and see which one is the original and which one the reproduction. As I'm from Germany, I mostly buy on eBay. My first Eisenberg was a pair of earrings marked with the script letter E and an addition block letter E on the earring itself. Ever since I received it I wonder if these earrings are original. How can a newbie on the wide field of vintage costume jewelry ever be sure to buy the right thing?
Greetings from Germany, Pia

I have the Trifari frog on the lucite lilly pad.  It is marked Trifari and is silver pot metal.  Is mine a repro?
Thanks,
Julie

I have one of the original Eisenberg pin #65 on your site.  Can you tell me any thing about it, and its worth?  I have inherited a lot of vintage jewerly and know nothing about it.  Thanks,  June

Hi Bobye - Great information!  There is a seller on eBay selling most of the items I see here!  And he lists them as original and for hundreds of dollars.  Thanks for this - I wish everyone could see these and not get taken in!

THANK YOU FOR SUCH A COMPREHENSIVE OVERVIEW.  I HAVE SEVERAL PIECES OF WEISS AND LISNER I PURCHASED NEW IN THE EARLY 1960s AND SEVERAL EISENBERG PIECES PURCHASED RECENTLY.  THIS HELPS ME BE AWARE OF WHAT I AM LOOKING AT FOR FUTURE PURCHASES.
