This is an incredible site.  I'm learning a lot about these precious items.  The first time I saw one was on one of the Russian Princesses in the Lifetime version of "War and Peace" a week ago (2/16) and wondered about it.  Thank you!

Wonderful items, but collecting is prohibitive because of the astronomical prices these beauties sell for. Even your run of the mill (if you could ever call one that) would cost in the thousands. You surely have a museum quality collection that is to be envied.

Wow. This site is incredible. As a jewelry student this is such a valuable resource for inspiration and historical reference. I really have to say this is the best jewelry site I have ever been to and I follow over 100 jewelry blogs! =)

Hi! I am wondering if you sell your lovers eyes. Can you let me know please?

Michele McCallSun, 4 Dec 2011 5:10AM

A number of sites warn readers that some lover's eye jewelry is fake. Can you suggest somewhere that I might have a piece professionally authenticated?

Dear Kathy,

your eye miniatures are wonderful and delicate! Thank you so much for showong them on the web. I own one myself which I bought in Munich this year. I am married to an Englishman myself (I am German myslef) so it is beyond the artisitc object a very emotional object to me. I do hope I am not impolite (as a read that several people asked you thios question obviously before on the web) but do you sell one object from time to time? I suppose rather not? Or could you let me know, where I could find other eye miniatures on sale in Europe or the US?

Thank you so much for sharing theese treasures with us, best regards from Germany, Frankfurt, Allegra Kellett

For consideration for inclusion in a 2014 exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, Washington, I'm trying to locate an American eye miniature (18th or 19th century).  Usually they are English, European, or of uncertain origin.  I'd be very grateful for any kind help.        Dorinda Evans (prof.)

I covet every one!

OllieWed, 25 Nov 2009 1:55PM

Are all of these wonderful items in your personal collection?  I have seen images elsewhere that seem identical to those featured.  Like that many others you have asked, are any for sale?  I am haunted by #555, the mourning brooch of a young girl with wings.
Sincerely, Ollie

Wow. This is an incredibly exciting collection! Christy Archibald emailed me this link. Thanks for sharing this!
I am an artist -- I paint miniatures. I just switched to watercolor on ivory (mammoth ivory) for my miniatures from oils on copper. I am about to deliver to Christy an eye of her daughter, which I made to fit in an antique paste case that she had. Would love to show it to you. Best regards, Elizabeth

I just met Zenith Rocco today and put a down payment on one of her eye pieces. She told me that you have bought several of her pieces. Which ones did you purchase from her? Julie Craven
