c. 1870s Bates College CDV
Another example of this CDV was featured as plate number 72 in Mark Rucker's groundbreaking work Baseball Cartes - The First Baseball Cards. It was one in a group of three individual-player CDVs that Rucker identified as members of the Bates College baseball team, circa 1875. Rucker also identified the photographer as Curtis & Moss of Lewiston, Maine.
