DEBORAH AHRENDT

I am retired from my first career in medicine, and now have the time to indulge my creative side. I have two Etsy shops and one on Bonanza, began taking in costume jewelry for repair last year, and divide the rest of my spare time between my furry family, which currently consists of 12 cats and 3 dogs and creating costume jewelry. Most of my jewelry is inspired by vintage pieces, although I am working with a few more contemporary designs lately.

My creative side has always been important, and I have dabbled in painting, sketching, sewing, quilting and all kinds of needlework, ceramics, porcelain painting – just about every craft or hobby I have run across, and recently dug out my kiln and want to develop some skill with enameling. I strung my first necklace when all I could afford was wooden beads and shells, and have inundated friends and family with gifts of jewelry ever since.
