Vermont White Quartz (November 15 2007)M,y good friend Jay Milliken of VT took me to a white quartz collecting site.
It turned out to be an entire mountain of snow white quartz!
Here are directions to the site:
Directions to Quarts vain in South Wardsboro, VT.
From Brattelboro Vt. Take Rt.#30 west to Rt.#100. This intersection will
be in East Jamaica turn left on Rt#100 to Wardsboro VT. At Wardsboro
look for “South Wardsboro Rd “, on the left as you come to Wardsboro.
Follow this road to the intersection of Newfane Rd. and Cobb&Reed Rd.
Here go right on Cobb & Reed Rd, about 100yards on your left is “Potter
Rd”. Go left on this Road. About 1.1/10th Mi. Potter Rd starts downhill
right after an unused road on your right, About 200 yards on your right
look in the woods, you will see what looks like snow and Ice on the ground
up a draw. There is a very large concentration of Quartz. |
