"Suzanne Oles Hyatt, 74, of Amarillo died Monday, April 22, 2019. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2019, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Pace and Dede Schuler Ballou officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Suzanne was born January 15, 1945, to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Oles. The family of five resided at 810 Avondale. Suzanne excelled academically and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1963, going on to attend the University of Texas for two years and graduating from West Texas State University with a degree in Special Education with an LLD endorsement. She worked as a secretary, teacher, and teaching assistant. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church since 1955, Alpha Phi, Beta Sigma Phi, and Amarillo Senior Citizens. Suzanne married Earl (Mike) Hyatt in March 1972. She had a son, David Brian, who now resides in Dallas, and a daughter, Lynna Suzanne, who resides in Steamboat Springs, CO. She and her husband resided at 5514 Randolph, until her death. She has resided at The Cottages Memory Care since May of last year. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, two brothers, and her sister. She is survived by her husband, Mike; her daughter, Lynna; her son-in-law, Lance; her son, David; two granddaughters, Emma and Madden; a grandson, Christopher; a great-grandson, CJ; a sister-in-law; three nephews; one niece; and three lifetime friends. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the funeral home." --admin, 04/28/19
