RESTORING A 100 YEAR OLD COLONIAL
3. RESTORING A 100 YEAR OLD COLONIAL

When Heather purchased this house in 2004 she saw a diamond in the rough.  This urban property needed extensive renovations but it offered close proximity to NYC and great outdoor space.

A tight budget was in place for each improvement project so sourcing affordable fixtures, furnishings & materials was key. Heather conceived and executed all design work and managed each contractor directly. The design plan was to update the house while emphasizing its vintage character.  Heather married old and new by mixing contemporary styling with textural antique finds.  Soft-spirited palettes and clean lines were used to open up the small spaces.

When it came time to sell the house, an additional investment was made to stage the property and maximize its position in the marketplace.  Heather completed unfinished projects then styled and photographed the interior and exterior spaces. This house sold in a week.  Through designing and renovating this home, Heather realized her true passion for Interior/Architectural Design, Landscapes and Gardening.
