In the early 1950's, Eds' mom and dad had a drug store, this is where they began their career as antique dealers.  The sign in the back right reads "We specialize in ring sizing, stone setting, refinishing, new shanks, general repairs, watch repair service.  We accept trade-ins".

Eds' mom and dad (taken in 1987) displaying their vintage jewelry and coins at the old Aurora Farms Market in Ohio. They set up every Wednesday and Sunday for years. This attracted thousands of antique lovers from miles around. The market was torn down in the early 90's to make way for outlet malls- an unfortunate sign of the times.
