Preparing lumber for boxmaking
Using a small wood-mizer bandsaw mill allows me to use locally salvaged hardwoods.  Most of the wood that I get to work with, comes from storm damaged trees, tree care services, or trees being removed from local properties that would end up as firewood or at the landfill.

This Red Oak tree from State College was more than 200 years old when it was taken down due to insect damage.
