Welcome to my gallery of finds. In the seven years that I have been seriously relic hunting, I have had the opportunity to hunts sites all over the Southeast, including VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, TN and LA. The finds on the following pages represent lot's of digging and are some of my better finds I've made. I hope you enjoy them.
58 FD1 - Cutter button after cleaning. Beaufort - 7/28/2004.

60 NA10 - A very worn South Carolina Continental Naval Officer's button. Beaufort 7/28/2004.
61 Nice SC button found near Camden. Actually dates to the 1870s to Wade Hampton and the redshirts.
62 SC button cleaned. Fresh as the day is was dropped 130 years ago!
63 Two Connecticut cuff's found in December 2001. South Carolina coast.
64 General Service eagle cuff and New York cuff dug in Beaufort - 7/28/2004.
65 Group of 1830s eagle buttons dug in Florida Fort 12, 4/3/04...1-piece eagle A, 2-piece eagle D, 2-piece eagle A, and 2-piece eagle I.

68 My first and only Great Seal, WWI button...log cabin site.
69 Post war Fire Department button. Waterbury Button Co. bkmrk. Lots of gilt!
70 NY coat...about 99.9% gilt...a real beaut!
71 Eagle I coat found about 10 feet away from the CS staff. Flat as a pancake!
72 Eagle cuff and tombac button found 7/26/03, CS camp near Columbia, SC.
73 With as few as I find, I'll take them in any condition.
74 War of 1812 Regiment of Riflemen button. Unfortunately, salt water had it's way with it.
75 Bucks of America? or just plain sportsman...still a cool little button...2/22/05
76 Cool button backmark...Strong Plated w/large eagle w/olive branch and arrow in talons. Stars complete the circle.

82 Iron Confederate copy of the Enfield buttplate. 3/29/03
83 Confederate sword handle guard found 3/29/03 and blade found on 7/26/03. CS camp, near Columbia, SC. Early militia P Guard sword.

86 In my junkbox for the longest time, finally ID'd as part of a sword belt hanger. Never throw anything away!
87 Pattern 1855 Rifleman's buckle belt slides. Found 2/15/03, Atlanta, GA. Image of complete set in the next picture.

89 Eagle shoulder belt plate, dug in the vicinity of Pigeon Hill, Kennesaw Mtn.

91 Massachusetts shako hat plate. This was given to me by my good friend and digging partner John Miles. Don't know much about it though...dug in a trenchline in VA.
92 Great pocket knife found in a Confederate camp on a plantation site along the Combahee River.
93 Pocket knife found in CS camp. Still has much of it's bone handle intact!
94 Hardee hat insignia.
95 Probably the coolest non-cw relics I've dug...both pairs of eyeglasses and cases came from the same hole. Dug Thanksgiving Day 2003.
96 Soldier's ring. Mostly likely brass, and very thin.
97 Brass wedding band...cabin site...4/15/04
98 Brass "W" ring found in mid-1800s homesite.
99 1855 & 1856 Patent date suspender buckles. One found in a Yankee camp, the other in a Confederate camp.
100 CS tin scabbard tip.
101 Rev. War era tin scabbard tip with lead finial. Couple of flat buttons, thimble, fishing weight...old church campground...10/14/2003.
102 Chess piece made from a Williams cleaner. Found in Fredericksburg, VA.
