SLIDO is a Tactile Robotic testing machine for all forms of TRIBOLOGY experimentation.
The FORD LABORATORY TEST METHOD BI 167-01 specifies the SLIDO II machine for performing quality and durability testing of all its TPO products. The SLIDO II machine is calibrated every 6 months to a NIST traceback ISO 9002 laboratory standard. The SLIDO II machine has saved FORD MOTOR COMPANY more than $4 M/year on bumper warranty/quality payouts. MORE THAN 10,000 plaques have been tested with SLIDO II.
