2008 West Virginia State Feis (Saturday April 5, 2008)RincePix was pleased to be chosen as the Authorized Photographer of the 2008 West Virginia State Feis in Chester, WV. These photos were taken in accordance with An Coimisiun and the NAFC regulations regarding action photography.
The folder contains several sub-albums to make it easier to find the photographs you're looking for. There were some limitations regarding lighting at this venue. The main Championship stage had poor lighting and in general photos could only be taken on a small portion of the stage that was closest to the audience due to low lighting. I apologize that there isn't a larger variety of photos for that stage. Additionally stage 7 had really dismal lighting and the photos taken on that stage were of a very poor quality. This was likely because the stage faced the wall. I apologize to those dancers. I've salvaged what I can from those photos, but if you're purchasing them please be aware that there is not much more I can do for them. All other photos will be individually colour corrected, lightened, brightened and cropped to focus on your dancer.

These photos have already been colour corrrected, and because the watermark is minimal, the quality of the photo you see is very close to what you will receive. If the face or the feet are out of focus, it cannot be corrected more than it already has been. NOTE: If you see a photo that says "inquire for additional photos" it means that there is another good photo(s) but I've removed it from the public display as there are a lot of bloomers showing (as in a high kick). Email me and I'll set up a private album for you to view the photo.

2007 Pittsburgh Winterfeis (December 29-30, 2007)Rince Pix was pleased to be chosen as the Authorized Photographer of the 2nd Annual Pittsburgh WinterFeis. These photos were taken in accordance with An Coimisiun and the NAFC regulations regarding action photography.
The photos for this event have been divided into several different categories for each day of competition to assist you in finding photos from your competition. You should note however that because 2 photographers were shooting at the same time, the photos from earlier in the day are not always first. To ensure you don't miss any photos be sure to scan the whole album that you are interested in. The albums are set to load 99 pics per page to aid those with slower computers, but you can select 'view all' at the bottom of the first page if you wish. All photos from the feis are now online. ***If you see the notation under a photo to "please inquire for additional photos of this dancer" it means that there is a good photo of that dancer but it is a high kick or lift and a lot of bloomer is showing. To err on the side of caution I have not posted these this type of photo unless the watermark is covering the bloomers anyway. Please e-mail me with the photo number under which the message appears and I will set up a private album for you to view the photo(s).

2007 Roseland Feis (Saturday, October 27, 2007)Rince Pix is pleased to return as the Authorized Photographer for the Roseland Feis. All action photos were taken in accordance with NAFC/An Coimisiun rules on action photography. The feis, in it's 3rd year, is already well known for it's generous awards, and attention to detail. Sashes and namesake 'rose' bouquets for the top 3 in Prelim & Championship make this feis a favourite for dancers. Another hilight is the "Future Champion" softshoe specials which are open to Novice & Prizewinner dancers, and is danced on the Championship stage. It's a real treat to watch these dancers on the "big" stage many for the first time.

2007 Longs Peak Feis (Sept 8.2007)Welcome to the photo album for the 2007 Longs Peak Feis and Scottish Festival at Estes Park. This album shows the flavour of the Feis, both the night before as friends gather and enjoy one another`s company, and Feis day itself. Thanks to Neal, ID Photographer, for these great photos.
A MESSAGE FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER
This album is dedicated to Fred Wick, Fred passed away Sept 11th three days after this feis, he lived a full life and had never missed a Feis in Colorado over the last 25 years, wow! A short story about photo 443, we almost did not go up to Estes this year, however we were encouraged to attend by many friends and stayed over Friday to Saturday as my son would be dancing that day. I needed to be at work at Midnight Saturday night, so we planned to leave ASAP, The last dance was the hard reel special, the last dance of the day, right afterwards we were chatting with a Percival Mom when I glanced over and saw Fred and noticed Peggy close by, I excused myself from the conversation and went over to chat with Fred, he was always one of my favorite Irish Dance personalities to converse with. I asked if he and Peggy had a moment to take one of the famous Fred & Peggy pictures, I have done this for years and many are on Rincepix, he and Peggy accommodated and the result is the photo at hand. It was the last photo I took that day Photo 443. I am very pleased we have this last memory of Fred to treasure. He was always such a happy soul with only kinds words to convey!

This feis holds a special place in the hearts of those of us who knew and loved Kathleen, sister of Rose Fearon and co-teacher of the Fearon School. Today's feis serves to remind us of the courage, determination and passion that Kathleen approached both life and dance with. I am honoured to have been chosen to preserve the memories from today's Feis.
I have sorted the photos into several albums to help you find the photos you are looking for but since I had 2 photographers assisting me not all of the photos appear in the order that competitions happened during the day, so please be sure to check the entire album.

2007 Mary Woodgate Feis (Saturday, February 24, 2007)Welcome to the photo gallery of the Mary Woodgate Feis. There might have been some close quarters at the venue but that didn't distract from some excellent dancing.
The photos have already been edited and colour corrected though additional cropping may be done - so basically the photos appear as a final product. The lighting on the Prelim stage was very challenging and explains why there are fewer pics from that stage.

2006 Roseland Feis (Saturday, October 28th)Welcome to the album for the Roseland Feis. It was an honour to be at this great little feis that featured beautiful awards ceremonies including sashes and flowers for the top 3, generous awards and perpetual trophies for many of the competitions. There was a special "Future Champions Competition" held for Novice and Open Dancers on the Championship stage. It was clearly a thrill for these dancers to get a glimpse of what it's like to be a future champion!
CHAMPIONSHIP STAGE including Future Champions Competition. The lighting on the Championship stage was very poor, and only photos taken at the very front of the stage had a chance of being in focus. I realize this will be disappointing, especially to those in the Future Champions Special, but I've provided as many photos as possible.
