Destiny's Devine Intervention
We give a big THANK YOU to Ellen Devine and Kris and Paul Henning for allowing this sweet boy to come to us.

Vinny "The Lips" rules the sofa over the show ring.  Vinny is neutered and he and his lips and will be moving soon to Stillwater, MN to live with one of Bob's good friends.

If you go to the END of this album and work forwards, you can see Vinny being born and growing up!  You can also view a few snaps of his Hasting's evaluation along with his littermates, and see the pedigree.

Hastings Evaluation shots
Done by a stranger to the litter in a location the litter has never been, this evaluation is done ideally at 56 days - give or take 3 days either way.  Learn more about this technique from the source: http://www.dogfolk.com/
We've started with Eva, and this pic shows the "hang"; my sister places fingers under the jawbone and pelvic bone to suspend the pup.  What you want to see in the mirror - ideally - is the pup hanging in a show stacked postion.

Eva didn't like that much...
With pups that resist and do not seem to feel comfortable in a suspended stack invite us to ask WHY.

14
Its hard to see from these bad pix...
But we are seeing a straight shoulder, and very little 'keel' in front.

Enlarge photo 15
15
The Frenchie standard says
Nothing about straight shoulders or preferred layback as most breeds do.  It does, however, call for an arched neck, and straight shoulders in any breed will make a neck appear short.

She still refuses to hang suspended...
Usually they will relax and hang.

Zsa Zsa hangs suspended
She is comfortable and relaxed and hangs in a natural show stack.

Enlarge photo 18
18
Zsa Zsa is just more relaxed overall...
She stands easier on the table - and no surprise as she has been the go getter in the litter while Eva has been more of a shy-violet type.

More keel on this one...
More angulation coming and going...

Not sure...
Got the pic, but don't recall the conversation between Joyce and Kris!  Isn't Zsa Zsa standing nice?

Now compare the two girls...
Kris is hoping for a girl from this breeding.  Her heart lies with Eva, but the Hastings seems to be indicating that Zsa Zsa *might* be more of what Kris is looking for in a breeding program.

Zsa Zsa is to the left, Eva to the right
Still hard to see tho - sorry for the bad pix!

Now Pearce gets his turn
He hangs in a relaxed stack...not quite as pretty as Zsa Zsa but much nicer than Eva's suspended stack.

He seems a mix
Of both sisters. Not as nice angles as Zsa Zsa, but not as straight as Eva.
