Welcome To Raydiant Rat Terrier's Hi my name is  I am a hobby breeder of Reg. U.K.C.I - U.K.C - CKC & NKC Rat Terrier's,I have raised Rat Terrier's since 1997 in Indiana.I strive to always improve my type.I never breed for just a color & Pattern,I breed first for confirmation,health & temperament are all number one.And I do not ever settle for less,I have very high standard's in the quality I want to produce.And only brought my breeding stock dog's from people & Breeder's I knew and trusted.I not only want to represent my dog's but the pedigree's they come from.And I hold that very dear and I am very protective of it.I work really hard to breed very sound and healthy pup's for the future of the Rat Terrier's.But I am very realistic and know some time's thing's just go hey wire with genetic's.My dad was a dairy farmer for over 50 year's and did not ever believe in in-breeding or line breeding but I can tell you in 50 + year's we did on occasion still have calves born with two head's,6 leg's and no rectum's and other genetic flaw's.So with knowing and being around live stock all my life we just do the very best we can to breed the best in mind and body.And so far I am very blessed to have had all really healthy and genetic flaw free litter's {so far}.I have Toy's [not by choice but I do get them from time to time],I much prefer my Mini's & Standard's who I have in many color's & Pattern's Bi/Tri Blue,Bi/Tri Black,Bi/Tri Pearl,Tan & white {or some call Red/white},Bi/Tri Chocolate's, & High Red Cho. Sable. & Apricot and Brindle's,in Piebald's,saddle back and Tuxedo patterns.color patterns by Jessica Shaw[link] And not to forget my Brindle line,which I have worked on for 8 year's {this being 2008} and with the help of a very very dear friend Bonnie Turner who was lost to us in a terrible storm and Tornado that ripped through her home in March 2008.Her loss to the Rat Terrier community can not be measured,she was the dearest person,friend and mentor anyone could ever ask for,god speed Bonnie !! .My Brindle Pattern line include's Brindle's & pointed Brindle's {or Trindle's as they are mostly called} Also as of April 2008 and after 10 year's of waiting and wanting them I had my 1st litter of Merle Rat Terrier's,they are extremely exciting no two are ever alike and I am so looking forward to producing some of the best Merle Rat Terrier's in type just as I have taken the time to do the same with my Brindle.The journey is long but so worth the ride.All my Rat Terrier's are type A,all adult's have there patellae's,bite's and over all health re-checked before breeding by my vet that I work for. I never sell what I call "Wet" pup's {new born's} and am known for setting on pup's for at least a year some time's,as I breed for myself only.Most pup's are not even put up 4-sale till after I make my pick's to keep at about 10 week's of age and up.Remember "PATIENCE is a VIRTUE" when looking for that perfect dog no matter if you plain on breeding in the future,showing or just a pet.If you want a curtain color or pattern then DO NOT settle for less then what you want no matter how long it may take,work with the breeder's and watch and listen. |

Sherman-Justice | What can I say about my Pit and my Dobbie !!! I have always loved the Pit Bull and through the year's have had a couple.I love the breed and you just have to understand the breed and know they are a different kind of dog and one to be trained the right way.Really they are not much different then my Rat Terrier's that I raise,they are both Terrier's and any dog that is in the Terrier group all act the same for the most part.They where bred to hunt and I have a coule Rat Terrier's that would bite you before a Pit would even think about it.But again just love the breed . |
