MOXIE (Washington)
Moxie was hit by a car left on the side of the road for 24 hrs, then dropped off at a Texas shelter, unable to walk and snapping in pain. At the shelter she was found to be heartworm positive so naturally was deemed completely unadoptable and no other rescues would take her, so she was due to be euthanized. But the shelter didn't count on Ratbone Rescues! Click Moxie's picture for more information.

Thanks to some incredible volunteers, Moxie was pulled and taken in for surgery ($460), then flown to Washington ($95) where she is being treated for a severe case of heartworms ($350). Already Moxie has shown herself to be happy, playful, cuddly, and walking great.

Bless you all in the rescue of these wonderful wonderful dogs.  I had a rat terrier named Lucy that saved my life.  I chose to have her euthanized May 07, she had pancreatic cancer.  It was one of the hardest thing I have ever done.
