ResQ Howliday Pawlyanna
It's time for some good ol' fashioned Howliday Spirit! Rat Terrier ResQ has wonderful dogs in foster care that are so happy to get some Winter Cheer. Many kind souls became Pawlyannas to ResQ dogs!
Here's how it works:
Our Rattie friends and supporters out there signed up for foster dogs to spoil, got their wish lists, and sent them packages filled with love!
*Note: "Pollyanna" is a term for a gift-giving tradition, primarily used in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. A little regional U.S. trivia never hurt anyone!
This is a wonderful bit of warm winter love for homeless Rat Terriers!

2009 Quilt Rat Terrier ResQ is pleased to announce our annual Quilt Raffle.
The quilt for 2009 is simply stunning! Crafted by an award-winning quilter using submitted photographs from ResQ fans, the quilt will fit a King size bed or would look spectacular as a wall hanging. This quilt has just won Best In Show at the 88th Annual Tulare County Fair.
TICKET SALES
Tickets are $1 each. Preferred method of payment is via PayPal. You may also send a check or money order to Rat Terrier ResQ, PO Box 293, Arkadelphia, AR 71923. If you purchase your tickets via PayPal you will receive your ticket numbers by email. If you send a check, your stubs will be mailed to you, unless you request the numbers by email.

DRAWING
Tickets will be sold beginning Thursday, October 1, 2009, and will continue through Monday, December 7, 2009. The jug containing all the tickets will be mailed by priority mail to Wendy Kusamura in California, who will conduct the drawing on December 13, 2009.
Upon drawing the first winning ticket, Wendy will report the winning number to Jodi Cotner, Shirley Salter and Mary Young, who will all have the ticket purchase list and will be able to confirm the identity of the quilt raffle winner.
The quilt raffle winner will be notified by email *and* telephone, so please remember to include your phone number, either on your check or when you order via PayPal.
PROCEEDS
All proceeds from the sale of the quilt raffle tickets will be used for veterinary expenses (spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, heartworm tests) for the foster dogs of Rat Terrier ResQ, Inc.

Puppy Bowl Filming Oct 2009 ***Animal Planet/Discovery Studios have asked all Puppy Bowl participants to refrain from posting photos of the taping, and we are honoring their wishes.***
Lasagna and McKenna traveled to Maryland from New Hampshire and Connecticut respectively to attend the filming of Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl VI, which will air on February 7, 2010 during the Super Bowl.
We let a Great Pyrenees puppy (100 pounds!) ride along with us. His name was Avi and he was going from his New York foster home to his adopters in Maryland. His new family is very happy with him!
Everyone at Discovery/Animal Planet was very nice and helpful. We could tell that the staff all thought Lasagna and McKenna were the cutest puppies there, but they pretended that they liked the other puppies, too. That was nice of them to not hurt the other puppies' feelings.
Lasagna and McKenna had headshots done and we got to see the Puppy Bowl field. All around the studio were TV screens where the humans could watch, but it wasn't easy to take pictures of all that! You'll see the famous Puppy Bowl Ref with Lasagna and McKenna, also.
It was a blast! We had a lot of fun. :-) |

Lost dog - Saturday, February 28 from the Lafayette reservoir. Rat Terrier, 16 pounds, mostly white with three large black spots and black and brown face markings. Slipped collar (no longer wearing collar), name is Cody. He is chipped and registered.

Happy Endings for ResQ Dogs
These are just a few of our Happy Endings. We're catching up, trying to add the photos of all the gleeful families!
Rat Terrier ResQ is a national all-volunteer Rat Terrier dog rescue group committed to saving Rat Terriers in need. These dogs are special loving creatures and, at times, end up with people who don't understand them. These Rat Terriers may end up in shelters after having been abandoned, neglected or abused. We work to get them safe, loved, and healthy -- and then find them the real forever homes they so rightly deserve.
Rat Terrier ResQ has Rat Terriers available for adoption in in foster homes all over the United States and Canada. On our web site, you will find information on all of the Rat Terriers we have up for adoption. Our adoption fees are:
Adult Dogs -- $150, and
Puppies under 6 months of age -- $175.
