I would like to take a moment to thank you for your families sacrifice. It is unfortunate that in our line of work some have to make the ultimate sacrifice to accomplish our common goal in the fire service. Protection of Life and property. I am sure your family members have risen through the cloudy dark smoke to find beautiful white fluffy clouds to walk upon into the gates of heaven... God Bless and thank you

This is a really great site.  I am a member of Southside VFD in Albemarle, NC.  Even though we are a volunteer fire department, we have still had a firefighter to die in the line of duty.  I pray for all the families that have lost a loved one that was a firefighter and I hope that that fire department was close knit and stood by the families of fallen firefighters.  Within the next year and a half, I will be able to go into a fire and I just pray that nothing will happen to me.

May God be with you and your dept. our dept has never had to deal with a loss and as our voulanteer and paid staff grows hopefully we can never experience this or any other dept. God is watching over our shoulders and may he carry each and everyone of us home, soon.

To the families,
I am very sorry for your loss. I am a firefighters wife and we are all a family. When one of their own is lost it is a loss to all.
