This is a personal project I started working on years ago using RGB LED's, LED laser diodes.

A high current connector for 12 VDC still needs to be installed as well as a better mount for azimuth steering. Unit loaded into truck for night testing. (Click on photo's to see larger size).

enlarge 156KB, 640x480 5 circuit boards I have four "570" watt Peltier coolers installed under the block of aluminum, they are 62 mm X 62 mm, these TEC's are about as large as they come and cost about 40 dollars each on ebay. The actual cooling capacity is close to 350 watts each. This photo shows parts placement and was taken before most of the wiring had been done. The amount of Peltier/TEC coolers are far in excess of what is required to cool the LED's or 2 watt lasers.

The lasers operate in line mode only, not spot mode which can be dangerous to vision at great distances. Update: Single line lenses changed to cross line lenses.
