Culla and Co

Join Culla and his Clydesdales, Ricky, Zac and Sam, and let them take you 'clip, clop' where cars can't go on the 'Steeles Point Carousel Horse and Carriage Tour' to see Norfolk's countryside at a leisurely pace. Culla, who is a true local identity descended from the Buffett clan, started Culla & Co in 1986 and entertains his passengers with tales of Island life.

Cattle by the roadside
Some cattle are descendants of generations of beasts which have spent their lives on roadsides and commons, rounded up just once a year for drenching and inspection by a veterinary officer.

Cattle resting under Norfolk Island Pines
For the other 364 days, they circle the island, protected from traffic by right-of-way, performing their very valuable service as four-legged lawn mowers.

Lagunaria patersonia is commonly known as Pyramid Tree, Norfolk Island Hibiscus, White Oak, or Cow Itch Tree. It is not a true Hibiscus, but does belong to the same plant family, Malvaceae.
