The Western Australian built replica of James Cook's HMB Endeavour deserves its reputation as one of the world's most accurate maritime reproductions. Construction began in a specially designed shipyard in Fremantle, Western Australia in 1988.

What is it?

The $1 million biomorphic sculpture by James Angus, which is the single most expensive public art commission in the history of Western Australia, has been successfully resurrected as a part of Perth City Council’s master plan to transform the landscape of Forrest Place and its adjoining areas in Perth’s civic centre.
That Million Dollars could have helped a lot of Homeless People!

Another Magnificent Tree Lost

The drought affected Eucalypt shown on 09 April 2011 did not recover with winter rain and has now been removed. A brown patch of wood-chip is all that remains of this once magnificent tree.

Who's New at the Zoo?
25 July 2011:
Two Dingo pups, born 13 March 2011, are brother and sister pure-breed Alpine Dingos who were born at the Australian Dingo Conservation Association in New South Wales.

Pure breed Alpine Dingo pup born 13 March 2011. The female is named 'Mirri' meaning 'wild dog'.

My New Invention!
29 March 2011. The loops on the arm from an old Hills Hoist make an excellent holder for drying shirts on coat-hangers.

A new set of speedy Wheels!
22 February 2011. Acquired a new pram for my deliveries and this 3-wheeler is loaded up and ready to go. Just so much easier to push and steer than the old 4 swivel wheels.

First day on the Job!
08 February 2011. Started regular delivery of catalogues to 318 houses. This delivery, 18 catalogues per house = 5,724 items to be collated. Each letterbox got 500 gm of material, so that little pram carried about 159 kilos.

New Bi-directional Meter Installed
28 January 2011.  Now I will be able to receive credit for solar power exported to the grid. Old analogue meter only recorded power imported from the grid.
