Painting at the condo with Judy N. and new friends. Painted detail  on the pearls in her hair, defined her neck "ruff with pearls, and defined her hands and jewelry a bit more.  Marie's skirt folds in like a firescreen so her actual measurements are 5'6" x 19" wide.

more detail, skirt, etc.  There still is a lot to be done...her hands, lace, finish the rose, etc. even her face isn't finished. The big change is that she is completely free standing...such fun!

Progress. I cut the canvas figure out with an exacto blade, made a pattern and cut the wood out.  Then, starting at the top, I glued to canvas to the board with "Liquid Nails".  The wood panel is only 15" wide, the side skirt panels are separate.  The brown is the adhesive and will be covered.

Still far to go.  This is still just a sketch. (I rolled  the canvas with a rolling pin to get it to adhere smoothly to the board.

Taking advantage of using my dolly for a prop to show the size of the figure. This companion board will be made with  a folding base like a fireplace screen so she will stand up alone.

Another picture of my doll and a chair that I painted.  I just used regular paints to paint roses on the chair and added a bit of gold to the edges. They were already gold but worn.
