Meeting the locals in Esfahan. Note the impressive 'Bridge 33' behind me (it has 33 arches and a tea room under it). This was the 3rd group of locals who wanted a photo with us?

Me indulging in the local pasttime of Sheeska (water pipe) - Flavoured (apple) tobacco only! More like a breath freshener than smoking. Not sure I would bother again.

Zoroastrian (think they worship Zoro?) Tower of Silence where bodies of the dead are left for the vultures to eat. Also notice the pillars in the foreground which 'suck' cool air into underground room. (Interesting eh? - Suit yourself)

Well nearly done in Iran - What a great place - completely amazed by the differnece in the media and reality. People are friendly and keen to meet foreigners. Food is excellent and some of the sites are superb. Esfahan especially is a lovely place. Crossing over to Turkey tomorrow but still have some photos to post here and for India as and when i get a decent internet connection.

Looks fab! Loving the photos - still waiting to see you on Al Jazeera flanked by two hooded CIA agents, err, I mean Islamic extremists...

It is like being famous - people want their photos taken with me, especially in the England Shirt. Our guide took us to his family's place for dinner - ended up playing dodgeball with 40+ of then ages ranging from 3 to 95!! I was expecting some hostility but everyone seems to like the English and want to talk to us. Would recommend Iran to anyone (except Americans maybe hehe)
