I am an old friend of John "Jack" Schwestka. We were friends in H.S. and after he got out of the navy and got married. I was very sad to learn that he died suddenly last week of a heart attack back in Iowa. I thought you'd like to know and would like to pass this info on to your old boatmates. I enjoyed looking at your pics, especially the ones that Jack was in. Jack was very fond of telling me his navy stories which were quite different from mine....I was in the army.

My father (Jim Howe) was on the Spinax in the mid to late 50's.  Sure would like to know if anyone remembers him.
