Holiday Lights Fund Raiser (November 9, 2009)| The kind folks at Venus & The Cellar Bar opened the doors on a Monday night for folks to come in and make a donation to the Chamber Holiday Lights fund. It was a GREAT time and about 100 people came. We collected over $1300 to go toward the Holiday Lights. A huge Thanks to everyone that came and donated $1's, $5's, $10's & $20's and checks to help us. |

Chamber Bowl-A-Thon (November 7, 2009)Many of you know I do many things with the Chamber. This year I am on the Holiday LIghts Committee and this weekend was the Bowl-A-Thon.
Over 100 players in two, fun and sometimes raucous sessions, laced up their shoes, exhibited their athletic prowess and bowled to raise funds for Holiday Lights at the 9th Annual Community Challenge Bowl-A-Thon, at Canal Lanes in Southampton on Saturday, November 7. Team fees, bowling pledges, raffles and lane sponsorships helped raise money for the downtown lighting this upcoming holiday season.
It was a great time and we raised a good amount of money. Thanks to every. |

Funny what the winter will do. Well that update below said almost done, well that was not true. The pool liner leaked all winter and had to be replaced along with a bunch of concrete. We are getting closer now stay tuned.
ALMOST DONE!! All that is left is a fence loam and some grass seed. It is full and with the major wind storm Saturday night the pool was also full of leaves. Fun times cleaning it out :) LOLOL I can get used to it. |

Red Sox Vs. Seattle (June 7, 2008)| Hi guys! Never ever a dull moment when we see a Red Sox game. In the first inning Coco Crisp hit the third pitch right at us. I had just taken out the camera (also consumed a good amount of adult beverages) SO I reach up to catch the ball or one of them :). The ball hits me in the wrist then bounces off a friend two seats to my right. (I think that is what happened it could have hit her then me but I don't think so) After the ball came to rest with the friend in front of me, (big bus trip group) I looked and realized the ball hit the girl square in the nose and blood was everywhere. She ended up seeing 1/2 an inning and got to visit the First Aid station they talk about all the time on NESN and a trip to the ER. She did end up getting the ball and other friend ended up losing the ball. That had to be the scariest thing I have seen at Fenway. Our friend is fine, well as fine as you can be with a broken nose, a cut from the impact and a story she will never forget. No I do not have pictures of the blood but I did get pictures of the game. So now that I shared the story here are some game pictures. I used my video camera to show the hit and us all jumping for the ball. |

Sox vs Detroit 08/16/06 (August 16, 2006)| Well I am 5-0 on trips to Fenway this year. Maybe I should see all 5 games this weekend against the Yankees to make sure we get some wins. Anyway this was a fun time. Had a great seat and then saw a guy I met at another game that let me sit with him behind home plate for about 2 and half inning. I was on TV. It was awesome and the Sox got the win. |
